I almost didn’t include this piece in this collection. Although I painted it right in the middle of creating all the other works, the bright color pallet popped in my head on a whim, and I just had to do it! Then afterwards I was almost discouraged as I compared it next to the other works. It doesn’t exactly fit does it? I told myself it was too punchy, too vibrant, too bold.
But instead of pulling it from the collection I decided to keep it and now I see the importance of it. These flowers are “Dressed in Splendor” and their presence is magnificent! They are not wallflowers hiding from the crowd, these are noticed! Maybe a little more bold than the others, maybe they seem like too much, but they stand tall and confident in the way they were created to be, and I want to be that way too.
