Framed Original 21x21 : Freedom to Be Known
21” x 21” inside 1.5” deep maple floater frame. Gold finished frame.
Acrylic + Oil Pastel
One of the last pieces I painted for this collection, this work is probably the most loose and flowing florals I’ve created. The more I painted fields and blooms, the freer I felt to express them without reservations…resulting in probably my favorite painting of the collection!
I titled this “Freedom to Be Known” because it reminds me to recall that feeling of freedom that comes when I truly let my guard down. I think we all put up walls and reserve parts of ourselves that we are afraid to let people see, sometimes for valid reasons, but often simply out of fear we won’t meet an expectation. But to be fully known, and in spite of the flaws still fully loved, that is a great gift of freedom!
